Then Comes A Baby: Week 11

After my husband and I announced to our family and friends that we are having our first baby,
I decided to document and share our journey through this pregnancy.
I will share the growing bump, things I crochet, recipes of the foods I crave, etc.

So it begins here:

How far along? 11 weeks
Total weight gain: 2 pounds
Maternity clothes? No
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Uncomfortable on my stomach, so I am transitioning to my left side. Sleeping sound until 5 am. Restroom visit then 1-2 hour increments of sleep until I get up.
Best moment this week: First, hearing our sweet baby’s heartbeat. It sounds like a train. It is the best sound! Second, sharing the news with family and friends.
Miss anything? Sushi… a lot!
Movement: Well, the baby is moving its’ newly formed joints but I have to wait two more months to feel it.
Food cravings: Chicken Parmesan, Hot Cheetos (ew and YUM) and fruit.
Anything making you queasy or sick: A lot of stuff sounds yucky.
Showing? No. Although I am bloated and I think my uterus is about to peek over my pelvic bone.
Gender: We will be happy either way. I sense a boy though.
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Tired, strong sense of smell, strange appetite, bloating, emotional.
Belly button in or out? I have a weird belly button normally. It is an inny-outty. I’ll say it is in for now. I have a feeling that I will have a big belly button bump later in my pregnancy.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: This week has been 50/50. I have been very frustrated with having food aversion to so many things.
Pregnancy dreams? Yes, I was passing out prenatal vitamins to my family and one of my younger cousins bit into the fish oil pill. I woke myself up laughing.
Looking forward to: Everything but next I am excited to have a tiny bump start forming.
