How far along? 19
weeks
Total weight gain: 13 lbs.
Maternity clothes? I bought my first three real maternity items. One sweater,
one skirt and one maxi. (The maxi is pictured above.) I can wear it now, when I
am a lot bigger and postpartum. I have worn it one time and already I love it. It
is from Gap Maternity.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: It all depends on the night. Some nights I sleep so well and others I am up every few hours.
Best moment this week: Hearing baby for the third time.
Miss anything? Having a full wardrobe to choose from.
Movement: Yes, I feel the baby every day.
Food cravings: Nothing
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Showing? A lot more to those who
know.
Gender: We will find out on Monday, August 6th,
if the baby is positioned right.
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Hardly any of my pants fit. Movement.
Belly button in or out? Um, both? It slightly pokes my clothes.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. Moody when I am hungry or tired.
Looking forward to: Monday ultrasound. Our first and, most likely, last
for this pregnancy. I am going to treasure it!
Baby’s fruit size: Heirloom Tomato
These thumbprint cookies made me happy:
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
zest of 1 lemon
1 egg yolk
1 1/4 cups flour
Mix butter and sugar. Add salt, lemon, yolk. Mix in the flour in two portions.
Divide dough into 16 one-inch balls.
Make a deep thumbprint into them.
Bake. 350 degrees F. 22 minutes.
Remove from oven and fill the holes while cookies are still hot.
I used truffle chocolate and blackberry jam.
Topped with an almond slice or half a blackberry.
Yum!
